From 1 July 2022, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) will be dissolved, and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) will take over the responsibility for NHS functions and budgets. We will become part of NHS Humber and North Yorkshire ICB. You can continue to use this website to find the information you need, which remains relevant for the Hull area.

Members of the public are invited to join NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) on Wednesday 5 October 2016, between 10am and 4pm at the Freedom Centre, Preston Road, Hull, HU9 3QB, to talk about plans for urgent health care in the city.

Dr Dan Roper, NHS Hull CCG Chair, said:

“When we speak with people about local healthcare they tell us they want to receive high quality care, as part of an easy to understand service, which is easy to access.

“We’re proposing a single, 24 hour urgent care centre, to support people with injuries or illnesses that need immediate care.

“Should the plans go ahead; people in Hull will be able to get the treatment they need, whether this is being seen by an out-of-hours GP, receiving treatment for a minor injury or having an X-ray, quickly and all under one roof.

“For this to happen, we need people in Hull to tell us what they think of the plans. The thoughts and suggestions of local people are incredibly important to us, so please do get involved in the consultation – whether you agree or not.”

Since August the CCG has been consulting local people on the proposed changes, which could lead to the establishment of a new urgent care centre in Bransholme.

If given the go ahead these changes could mean that the minor injuries unit (MIU) at the Freedom Centre and out of hours GP service at Diadem Health Centre would move, integrating with the MIU at Bransholme Health Centre to form the new urgent care centre, by 1 April 2017.

People wanting to find out more about the plans, and have their say in the consultation, are invited to attend one of the consultation meetings, pick up a copy of the consultation document from their local GP surgery, library or post office, or visit www.urgentcarehull.co.ukto find out more
