Two training sessions are being held to help businesses in Hull promote and protect the mental health of their employees.

As part of the Working Voices initiative NHS Hull CCG is pleased to offer an opportunity for local businesses to attend a health seminar which aims to provide key information and useful contacts in support of workforce emotional well-being.

Recent government statistics have shown that roughly 500,000 workers suffered with work-related stress, depression or anxiety in 2016/17, leading to a loss of around 12 million working days.

The CCG has listened to the needs of businesses and has arranged two identical sessions at times and in a format to fit with the demands of business.   Both seminars offer the same content but at different times of the working day.

  • Tuesday 5th June, 8am - 9.30am
The Studio, Sewells, Geneva Way, Hull HU7 0DG
  • Wednesday 13th June, 5pm - 6.30pm
University of Hull, Allam Medical Building, HU6 7RX

The aim of these seminars is to provide local businesses with a range of information & connections around the topic of emotional well-being.  There will be six key-note speakers offering short presentations on a range of topics including:

Sam Barlow, the engagement manager for business and local workforce at NHS Hull CCG, said:

“The Working Voices project has grown from strength to strength since it began a little over 18 months ago. We now work closely with 22 businesses, reaching out to nearly 20,000 staff members.

“One thing that employers are always asking about is how they can protect and nurture the mental health of their workforce. With this in mind we’ve put together a panel of local experts who will be sharing their knowledge.”

Working Voices is a free NHS programme which aims to reach people at work so that employees can have their say about local health services and also benefit from better links between employers and the NHS to support access to health and lifestyle services.  For more details see HERE or contact Sam Barlow samantha.barlow@nhs.net
