NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is inviting people to join them in celebrating a year in local healthcare at their Annual General Meeting.
This year the AGM is taking place on Wednesday 27 June at the Ferens Art Gallery on Queen Victoria Square, Hull from 5.30pm – 8.00 pm with formal presentations from 6.00 pm - 7.00 pm.
The 2017-18 AGM will mark five years since the establishment of the CCG with its vision of creating a healthier Hull.
The event gives an opportunity to reflect on what has been a memorable year in Hull including the CCG’s ‘Outstanding’ rating, achieving HSJ CCG of the Year, the City of Culture, the new Jean Bishop Integrated Care Centre and improved ways for patients to access primary (GP) care
Dr Dan Roper, Chair of NHS Hull CCG, said:
“It’s particularly important for us to look to both our past and our future in the year when we celebrate the 70th birthday of our National Health Service. The NHS has come a long way in 70 years; techniques have developed, knowledge has grown and technologies have improved.
“That being said, the demands on our health service have also changed. To meet the needs of our population it’s important that we continue to evolve here in Hull. This year has seen some great strides for us, including better digital access to our GP services and the first of its kind, innovative new Integrated Care Centre.
“We’re delighted to invite our local colleagues, partners and residents to join us in a celebration of past, present and future."
Shortly before the formal AGM begins, attendees can enjoy a small exhibition and buffet at the Ferens Art Gallery from 5.30 pm.
Later, audience members will be given a chance to take part in ‘Question Time’, when CCG Board members will take questions about local healthcare.
The format for the AGM is as follows:
5.30 pm Exhibition stands and buffet mingle
6.00 pm Overview from Dr Dan Roper CCG Chair, Emma Latimer CCG Chief Officer and presentation of Hull CCG’s Annual Accounts for 2017-18 by Emma Sayner Chief Finance Officer
