The Hull FC Community Foundation is launching its brand new ‘Energise Club’ programme – an after-school club for primary school children aimed at improving health and fitness.
Designed for children aged between 4 and 11 and based at the Hull FC Centre of Excellence Campus (Pickering Road, HU4 7AE), the sessions will include fun games and learning activities as the Foundation continues to show commitment to improving children’s health in a fun, interactive and engaging way.
With separate sessions for Key Stage 1 on Tuesdays and Key Stage 2 on Thursdays, the programme will get underway next month on Tuesday 2nd November, running every week until Tuesday 8th February – sessions run between 4.15pm and 5.15pm.
Sessions will be split up into two sections, with both active fitness, and classroom-based activity sessions.
Some of the fitness activities will include playing a variety of sports games e.g. rugby, football, tennis, rounders, as well as gym style activities, that will encourage team building and leadership skills.
The classroom-based learning will involve teaching about a certain topic including food groups, to be followed by fun activities such as arts & crafts, cooking, card games and using food props.
Sessions will be entertaining, help to boost fitness, knowledge of health, and confidence, as well as opportunities to meet members of the Hull FC first-team squad and receive free tickets to Betfred Super League matches in 2022!
Sessions are free of charge, but must be booked online. To book KS1 sessions please click here. To book KS2 sessions please click here.
