From 1 July 2022, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) will be dissolved, and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) will take over the responsibility for NHS functions and budgets. Hull and East Riding residents are encouraged to ensure they are prepared for the upcoming Easter bank holiday weekend, Friday 2 April and Monday 5 April 2021, and reminded which NHS services will be available.

Urgent Treatment Centres (UTC), out of hours GP services and some pharmacies across Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire will remain open. However, GP practices and most pharmacies will be closed on the bank holidays.

If you need medical help, the NHS is still here for you. Be prepared by checking your medicine supply and making sure you order any required prescriptions in good time.

Some pharmacies will be open on bank holiday Monday to ensure you can access services if absolutely necessary. You can find the latest pharmacy bank holiday opening hours across Hull here and East Riding of Yorkshire here. These times are subject to change so please ring before you attend.

If you need to access routine GP services on Easter bank holiday Friday or Monday, pre-bookable appointments are available through your GP practice in Hull and through Improving Access in the East Riding.

For urgent medical help, please use the NHS 111 online service (111.nhs.uk). If you cannot get online, call 111.

UTCs can treat minor ailments such as cuts, burns and suspected fractures, with no appointment necessary. Find out more about East Riding UTCs here and Hull UTCs here.

If you need mental health support, the Hull and East Riding Mental Health Response Service will remain operational over the bank holiday weekend. Individuals in crisis can access their services on 01482 301701.
