Next week shoppers in two busy Hull locations will be able to find out more about Healthwatch – an independent consumer champion for patients – and contribute to important research.
On Monday, 20 March, Healthwatch Kingston upon Hull will be on a special bus to raise awareness of its services and find out which health priorities are important to the people of Hull people.
The staff will be at Tesco Hull on Hall Road from 9.30am until 12.30 and then St Andrew’s Shopping Park, Hessle Road, from 1.30pm-4.
Delivery Manager Gail Purcell says: “We’re asking the public for opinions on the issues we should look at over the coming year. So far, at various different events, we have had a brilliant response. Healthwatch is all about making contact with the residents of Hull and helping with health and social care issues, from finding out about services to providing advice about making a complaint.”
Healthwatch, the independent patients’ champion, already visits seven public locations every month across Hull to meet local people, provide information and ask for views on health and social care.
Healthwatch is completely independent. This means they are not connected to any part of the NHS or other healthcare organisation.
