Bransholme GP Dr Scot Richardson has teamed up with St John’s Church to offer a unique Christmas Day drop-in at the James Alexander Family Practice at Bransholme Health Centre.

Local people are warmly invited for a hot drink, mince pie and a chat with practice team and Rev Matthew Martinson and members of nearby St John’s Church between 5.00 and 6.30pm on 25 December.

Dr Richardson, who will be seeing pre-booked GP appointments on Christmas Day as part of the AccessPlus service, said:

“We know that Christmas can be a lonely time for people who may not have family and friends around. My team and I wanted to be part of the Bransholme neighbourhood response to fighting loneliness and isolation at this time of year by welcoming local people into the surgery for a drink and a chat.”

No appointments are needed for the community drop-in. People can simply use the intercom at the building entrance and security will let them in to the James Alexander Family Practice on the second floor.
