Sometimes you may need urgent medical treatment but it’s not an emergency. If you need to see your GP with something that cannot wait until the next day you may need to visit the Out-of-hours GP. If you're unsure if this applies to you contact NHS 111 who can assess your situation and advise you.

The Hull GP out of hours service operates between the hours of 6.30pm and 8.00am, Monday to Friday, plus throughout weekends and Bank Holidays.

GP Walk in Services

NHS walk-in centres offer convenient access to a range of treatments for dealing with minor illnesses and injuries. These include:

• infections and rashes
• blood pressure checks
• fractures and lacerations
• emergency contraception and advice
• stomach aches
• vomiting and diarrhoea
• hay fever
• insect and animal bites
• stitches (sutures)
• dressing care
• minor cuts and bruises
• minor burns and strains
• stop smoking support

You don't have to be registered with the practice and you don't need an appointment to access the walk in service.

If you need treatment for a child under 18 months of age please see your GP, out of hours GP or A&E.

Have you suffered a sprain, strain, cut, mild burn or other minor injury? Then the urgent treatment centre (minor injuries unit) at Bransholme Health Centre is the best place for you to seek treatment. No appointment is necessary and it is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

In the event of a life-threatening emergency (such as loss of consciousness, acute confused state, fits that are not stopping, severe chest pain, breathing difficulties or severe bleeding that cannot be stopped) you need to dial 999 and visit A&E immediately.
