From 1 July 2022, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) will be dissolved, and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) will take over the responsibility for NHS functions and budgets. We will become part of NHS Humber and North Yorkshire ICB. You can continue to use this website to find the information you need, which remains relevant for the Hull area.

GP practice

Your general practice team is the first point of contact if you:

  • have an urgent care need
  • have an illness that does not improve with self-treatment
  • are worried about your health
  • have an ongoing health condition

GPs are trained doctors, but you may also be offered an appointment with another clinical professional, such as a nurse. Your general practice team will refer you if you need more specialised care or treatment.

Booking appointments

You can book an appointment with your general practice team by contacting them directly over the phone. Most GP practices also have the option to book online via their website, or on the NHS app.

Evening and weekend appointments

You can get an appointment outside of standard working hours. Some appointments are available in the evening and over the weekend. To access these, contact your practice in the usual way.

Registering with a practice

You will need to register with a practice to book appointments. Find out how to register with a GP by clicking here.
