Mental health and wellbeing
Mental health is as important as physical health.
On the following pages you will find information on how to stay mentally well and look after your wellbeing. You'll also find details of how to access support for yourself or a loved one.
Most people experience ups and downs in their life, and can feel unhappy, depressed, stressed or anxious during difficult times. Many difficult events and experiences can also leave us in low spirits or cause depression; this is a normal part of life.
Other factors which can affect your mental health include changes to hormones such as during puberty, after childbirth and during the menopause.
Having said this, sometimes it is possible to feel down without there being an obvious reason.
All the support services are non-judgemental and confidential.
