The Hull We Want
The Hull We Want - Engagement Strategy for Hull's Health and Wellbeing Board
The Hull We Want aims to develop a comprehensive model for city engagement for health and wellbeing that will enable Hull's Health and Wellbeing Board to be the voice for Hull. It will enable decision makers to be better informed about public opinion.
The five pillars of the plan are;
- Working together to do something different
- To reduce inequalities and improve fairness
- To listen to views and opinions and work with the people of Hull
- Giving ownership of health and wellbeing to the city
- Informing decision makers who can use public opinion to make a change

The Launch
The Hull We Want is launching with an open invitation for people in Hull to give their opinion on all things health and wellbeing on Wednesday 11 March at Trinity Market in Hull City Centre, 10am-2pm.
This is an opportunity for people to provide feedback about Hull's health and wellbeing to help identify priorities and opportunities to help reduce inequalities and improve the health and wellbeing of the city.
In addition to launching the engagement approach, the Health and Wellbeing Board will launch their new brand.
You are invited to come down to the event where you can participate in activities and feedback your views and opinions. The conversations and themes from the day will focus on three key areas:
- The Hull We Want (city aspirations)
- What matters to you?
- What can you do?
There will also be an opportunity to browse stalls from local health and wellbeing organisations.
If you are a local health and wellbeing organisation and would like a stand at the event or for more details please do not hesitate to contact Matthew Fawcett matthew.fawcett1@nhs.net
