We set up Breathe for Cameron in memory of our son late in 2014. Now we want everyone to know the dangers of Asthma and how seriously it should be taken. There is a distinct lack of understanding of the condition of asthma.
As a charity, we are working on several different projects. We aim to provide to the public and schools free tailored Asthma Aid (First Aid) in these classes we would incorporate how to use your medications correctly, What to do if you or your child is having an Asthma attack and things not to take if your child is an asthmatic.
Currently Breathe for Cameron are about to start a campaign to put an inhaler into every school in Hull and we feel providing the Asthma Aid course in conjunction with the free inhalers for schools scheme will save children’s lives, The secondary effect of our project would be the savings to the NHS if we can inform the public to a high level of understanding.
What we would really like to do alongside these is run a big awareness campaign to encourage asthmatics, parents, teachers and friends to take asthma more seriously, to know how to handle it and where to get help. We also hope to create an awareness video that people can use as an educational resource amongst the community.
We are looking for schools, media and advertisers to help us raise the awareness of the dangers of Asthma. We aim to raise the public profile of asthma to of Anaphilaxis and diabetes. We are also keen on seeking the help from local businesses for financial support in the way of Sponsors
