NHS Hull CCG is teaming up with the Humber Modern Slavery Partnership (HSMP) to host a workshop day for local businesses.
This workshop will give an invaluable insight into the issues of modern slavery in the Humber region and aims to support businesses to comply with the 2015 Modern Slavery Act.
Modern slavery exists in the Humber. It often includes slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and domestic servitude.
The HSMP, which is made up of a partnership of local organisations, is dedicated to tackling all forms of modern slavery.
The workshop will feature a range of speakers and facilitators, including:
- Steve Clay – Hull Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board
- Dave Blain - Designated Professional for Safeguarding Adults (NHS Hull CCG)
- Alicia Kidd – Wilberforce Institute for the study of Slavery and Emancipation (WISE)
- Mark Kelk – Humberside Police
If you run a local business and want to take part in these workshops, you can book your place here.
Please note that places are limited.
